MUSIC: The Empire Jazz Orchestra @ Schenectady County Community College’s Carl B. Taylor Auditorium, Schenectady. The contemporary big band celebrates its 25th anniversary with a concert featuring the music of Gil Evans, Gerry Mulligan, Billy Strayhorn, Duke Ellington, Don Ellis and more. 8pm. $20; students $6.
