First Night Saratoga Announces Line-up of New Year’s Eve Entertainment

First Night Saratoga – the family friendly celebration that takes place in Saratoga Springs on New Year’s Eve – is celebrating its 22nd anniversary this year, and the organizers have planned a jam-packed evening of entertainment, fun and fireworks.

The Sunday, December 31 festivities begin with the First Night 5k roadrace at Skidmore College at 5:30pm and wrap up with the traditional 12midnight fireworks display in Congress Park. In between, you’ll find 30 venues throughout the city offering a night full of live music, dance, comedy, magic and even a few fortune tellers to predict what’s in store for you in 2018.

Headliners for the annual celebration have traditionally been popular bands – last year it was The Figgs, Wild Adriatic and Sirsy – but for the 22nd anniversary bash, organizers have something else on tap. Walt Adams of 103.1 The Jockey, WJKE will host the festivities at the City Center’s Main Hall featuring magician Joshua Lozoff, mentalist Jon Stetson and juggler Scott Jameson.

But that’s just a small part of the evening’s festivities which features more than 70 different performing groups, including Sawyer Fredericks, Sirsy, Ramblin Jug Stompers, Ashley Sofia, the Hot Club of Saratoga, Annie & the Hedonists, Sydney Worthley, Professor Louie & the Crowmatix, Matthew Boyce & the Suspicious Minds, Bob Malone, Shane Guerrette, the Holly & Evan Band, Belle-Skinner, Harold Ford: The Spirit of Johnny Cash, Mike Campese, Darling Valley and a whole lot more…
