Let’s face it, Rivers Casino in Schenectady hasn’t made much of a dent on Greater Nippertown’s entertainment scene since it opened back in February. In fact, the first national act with any name recognition is coming in to take over the casino stage for New Year’s Eve.

The Commodores will step into the spotlight at 11pm on Sunday, December 31, playing their many hits, including “Brick House,” “Easy,” “Nightshift” and “Three Times a Lady.” Led by founding members William King (guitar) and Walter Orange (drums, vocals), the group played a free show at Albany’s Empire State Plaza as the headliners at the 2016 New York State Food Festival. Tickets for their show at Rivers Casino are on sale now, priced at $60, $100 & $120.

where are they going to have this….is a true concert venue or just a meeting room

  2. Daniel D Hogan says

the reason they don’t have any entertainment is because they made a “deal” with Philip Morris’s fair deal group or whatever it was called. They demanded no rooms larger than 1,000 people, a piece of the action and wanted to manage the entertainment as well.
