Opera Saratoga’s “Opera to Go” Presents “The Ugly Duckling” in March [Berkshire on Stage]

Children and families of all ages are invited when Opera Saratoga’s “Opera to Go” artists perform the children’s opera, The Ugly Duckling, at the Saratoga Arts Center in Saratoga Springs at 11am on Saturday (March 3) and at the Schenectady Civic Playhouse in Schenectady at 2:30pm that same day. These are the first of seven free performances throughout Greater Nippertown during the month.

Opera Saratoga‘s production of The Ugly Duckling, a whimsical retelling of Hans Christian Andersen?s beloved fairy tale with an original score by composer Andrew Duncan, allows children to experience the thrill of opera up close and personal through a story that encourages young people to accept differences in other people.
