FEST: 518 SongFest @ The Egg

The annual local music showcase 518 SongFest is returning to The Egg’s Swyer Theatre to celebrate the art of songwriting at 7pm on Friday, May 18. The SongFest is a unique live concert experience, in that the artists get to perform their songs, in addition to talking a bit about their music and their creative process.

The featured performer at this year’s feat is Moriah Formica, the Local 518 high school contestant on Season 13 of NBC-TV’s “The Voice.” Other artists slated to perform include Super 400 (playing a rare acoustic set), Sandy McKnight’s Pop-Clique, up-and-coming singer-songwriter Sydney Worthley and the Grammy Award-winning songwriter Julie Gold.

Tickets are on sale now, priced at $9.77, $15 & $20. The fest is a fundraiser for Exit 97.7 WEXT-FM and and Columbia Arts Team.
