FEST: MOVE Music Fest Returns to Downtown Albany

The annual MOVE Music Festival is returning to Albany for its seventh year, but the fest is undergoing considerable downsizing from previous years. Just two years ago it was a three-day fest featuring 100 bands at 10 venues. Last year, the three-day fest took place at six venues (expanding into Troy and Cohoes) featuring 30 bands.

This year, the fest has been pared back even further to just one day – Saturday, April 28 – at three downtown Albany venues – Parish Public House, Dawn’s Victory Cafe and the Olde English Pub – showcasing just a dozen bands, including headliners Diet Cig. The fest will also feature music industry panel discussions at 5pm at Albany’s Hampton Inn Downtown.

A festival ticket for all three venues is currently on sale for $25; tickets for the Parish Public House only are $20.

Here’s the line-up of bands scheduled to perform at the 2018 MOVE Music Festival:

Diet Cig
Jouska
CK & the Rising Tide
Auguste & Alden
Late Sea
Jeremy James & the Villianeers
The Avalon Hi-Fi
The Ryan Leddick Trio
Aaron Rizzo
Sorrow Estate
Shlomo Franklin
Albany School of Rock
