The Hollow Bar + Kitchen in Albany welcomes back Magic Giant – this time as a headliner – at 9pm on Tuesday, May 15 ($12 in advance; $15 at the door), and Mt. Joy, who were just in town opening for Neko Case at The Egg, are headed back to town as headliners at 9pm Wednesday, June 13 ($10.27 in advance; $15 at the door; on sale at 10am on Friday).

IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: David Byrne’s American Utopia Tour is slated to make a stop at Albany’s Palace Theatre this fall with Tune-Yards opening the show. Tickets go on sale to the general public at 10am on Friday (March 16).

Acoustic faves the Steel Wheels roll into Club Helsinki in Hudson at 9pm on Saturday, April 28. Tickets are on sale now, priced at $20 & $25.

IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: Mountain Jam at Hunter Mountain has added several more bands and announced the daily line-up of bands. Single day tickets are on sale now, too.

Bearsville Theater in Woodstock welcomes Frank Zappa tribute band Project/Object with special guest Mothers alum Napoleon Murphy Brock and Denny Walley at 8pm on Thursday, April 26 ($20 in advance; $25 at the door); Terry Adams and NRBQ at 8pm on Sunday, May 6 ($25 in advance; $30 at the door; $35 reserved balcony seats); reggae greats Culture featuring Kenyatta Hill with Max Glazer Federation Sound at 9pm on Wednesday, May 9 ($30, $40 & $45); and Doors tribute band Feast of Friends with Test Pilot Charlie at 9pm on Saturday, May 26 ($15 in advance; $20 day of the show).

IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: The Linda in Albany announced a number of new concerts, including Mike Doughty; veteran bluesman John Primer with Jimy Graham; Van Morrison tribute band Moondance; a Clearwater Benefit Concert featuring Annie & the Hedonists, Bounce Back Reggae Band and Three Quarter North; the Cactus Blossoms; Fair City Fire with The LateShift; and Stephen Clair & the Pushbacks.

Barrington Stage Company in Pittsfield has announced a few special events including stand-up comedian Nick Di Paolo, who brings his The Nick Is Right Tour to the mainstage at 8pm on Saturday, April 14. Tickets are on sale now, priced at $28. And Grammy Award-winning singer Melissa Manchester brings her The Platinum Standard show to Pittsfield, singing songs by male vocalists who influenced her (including Frank Sinatra, Johnny Mathis, Tony Bennett and others) at 8pm on Monday, August 13 at 8pm. Tickets range from $15-$45; VIP $75.

Led by Stefan Marchello (the son of the late Peppi Marchello), Long Island rock heroes the Good Rats are slated to take over The Falcon in Marlboro on Saturday, April 14.

IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: Veteran country singer Travis Tritt is returning to at the Troy Savings Bank Music Hall. Tickets are on sale now.

Veteran piano pounder Commander Cody leads His Modern Day Airmen in their return to the Hangar on the Hudson in Troy at 7pm on Sunday, April 22. They’ll be joined by the Lustre Kings. Tickets are $25.

IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: Tony Award-winning singer-actress Cady Huffman is bringing her cabaret show to Proctors’ GE Theatre in Schenectady. Tickets are on sale now.

Jupiter Hall in Guilderland will play host to Company of Thieves at 7pm on Sunday, April 29. Tickets go on sale at 10am on Friday (March 16), priced at $15. And at 7:30pm on Thursday, May 17, soul singer Remember Jones leads her 25-piece band, playing Kanye West’s 808s and Heartbreak in its entirety in celebration of the album’s 10th anniversary. Tickets are $15 in advance; $20 at the door.

RESCHEDULED: After being postponed by one of the ongoing March snowstorms, Motionless in White has announced that they’ll play their Graveyard Shift Tour concert at the Upstate Concert Hall in Clifton Park at 7pm on Thursday, June 14 with Every Time I Die and Ice 9 Kills. Tickets purchased for the original date will be honored on the new date. Refunds for those who can not attend on the new date will be available at the place of purchase.

Jazz pianist Diane Moser and her trio celebrate the release of their new album, Birdsongs, with a concert at Beattie-Powers Place in Catskill at 5pm on Saturday, April 14. Tickets are $10.

IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: Stand-up comedian Cuzin Maine brings the laughs to the Troy Savings Bank Music Hall for a show that will be filmed for upcoming television broadcast. Tickets are on sale now.

Aaron Bruno leads the Here Come the Runts Tour as Awolnation takes over Clifton Park’s Upstate Concert Hall at 8pm on Friday, June 15. Lovelytheband and IRONTOM open the show. Priced at $27.50 in advance; $30 at the door, tickets go on sale at 10am on Friday (March 16).

In addition to their previously announced show at Jupiter Hall in Guilderland, the dual tribute band BonJourney is slated to make a tourstop at the Colonial Theatre in Pittsfield at 7:30pm on Saturday, November 10. Tickets are $25.
