MUSIC: Joe Barna & Sketches of Influence @ Spring Street Gallery, Saratoga Springs. Sketches of Influence are joined by acclaimed tenor saxman Joel Frahm in the next installment of Capital District Jazz’s Jazz at the Spring concert series. 7:30pm. $20.

THEATER: “Cantastorias from the Possibilitarian Arsenal” @ Time + Space Limited, Hudson. It’s the annual springtime return of Glover, Vermont’s magnificent Bread & Puppet Theater, both poetic and political. 7:30pm. $15; students $10.

MUSIC: The McKrells @ Caffe Lena, Saratoga Springs. Kevin McKrell and his merry band roll into the Spa City’s revered venue. 7pm. $22.

THEATER: “Frankie & Johnny in the Clair de Lune” @ the Bridge Street Theatre, Catskill. Directed by Sara Lampert Hoover, Terrence McNally’s intimate play examines the tug of war between a short-order cook who sees a lifetime of love and adventure ahead and a waitress who’s been burned too many times in the past and is terrified of being hurt again. Starring Rita Rehn and Steven Patterson. 7:30pm. Pay what you will preview. Through Sunday, April 8.

MUSIC: Mike Kelley @ Lanie’s Cafe, Loudonville. 6pm. FREE.

MUSIC: Red Molly @ the Parlor Room, Northampton. The powerhouse Americana trio is known for their gorgeous harmonies, infectious songwriting and captivating stage presence. Laurie MacAllister (bass), Abbie Gardner (Dobro) and Molly Venter (guitar) weave together the threads of American music. 8pm. $35. UPDATE: This show is now officially sold out…

MUSIC: Rusticator @ Crandall Public Library’s Folklife Center, Glens Falls. Led by guitarist-vocalist Tony Califano, the four-piece acoustic band plays the next Live! Folklife concert in support of their sophomore album, Get It While It Lasts. 7pm. FREE.

DANCE: Moscow Festival Ballet @ Proctors, Schenectady. The company of 50 dancers, direct from Moscow, performs “Swan Lake,” the tale of a beautiful woman doomed to be a swan in this opulent production set to Tchaikovsky’s glorious score. 8pm. $20-$55.

MUSIC: Dyer Switch @ Mabee Farm, Rotterdam Junction. The latest installment of the Howlin’ at the Moon concert series. 7pm. $5.

MUSIC: Gnards @ River Street Pub, Troy. Worcester punk. With Fine Grain and Machete. 9pm. FREE.

FILM: “Ask the Sexpert” @ MASS MoCA’s Club B10, North Adams. Vaishali Sinha’s documentary focuses on Dr. Mahinder Watsa, a cult sex advice columnist in Mumbai. In the face of fierce conservative backlash, he champions comprehensive sex education in this whimsical and moving documentary. Followed by a Q&A with the director. 7pm. $9; students $5.
