“Remembering The X” Farewell Party @ The Hangar

Greater Nippertown radio station WAIX was unceremoniously dropped from the FM dial earlier this month (although The X, as it was dubbed, is still broadcasting at 900AM WABY).

Now the co-directors of the station – Art Fredette and David Decker – have organized a farewell bash for the many friends and fans of the station.

“Remembering the X” will be held at the Hangar on the Hudson in Troy on Saturday, April 14, featuring performances by many of the Local 518 bands and musicians whose music was a primary focus on the station.

Doors open at 12noon with the live music slated to run from 1-7pm. Tickets will be available at the door for $10.
