THEATER: “Blithe Spirit” @ Capital Repertory Theatre, Albany. One highly spirited wife is fun, but two is fertile ground for this smash comedy hit of the London and Broadway stages from the witty pen of Noël Coward. Meet cantankerous novelist Charles Condomine (Gary Lindemann), re-married to Ruth (Brenny Rabine) but haunted (literally) by the ghost of his late first wife, the clever and insistent Elvira (Yvonne Perry), who has been conjured up by a visiting “happy medium,” one Madame Arcati (Eileen Schuyler). 7:30pm. MUSIC: The Cumming/Cestaro Duo @ UAlbany Performing Arts Center, Albany. Pianists Duncan Cumming and Melinda Cestaro, a UAlbany graduate from the Department of Music and Theater, will wrap up the Youth Movement Festival, performing music for four hands by Schubert, Weber, Mozart, Poulenc and Dvořák. Current UAlbany Music Program student and pianist Xin Huang will join them for a portion of the program. 7:30pm. $8; $4 students and seniors.

MUSIC: “A Night to Remember the Life of Jose Reyes” @ Chrome, Waterford. Featuring Close to Nothing, Feral Meryl and My Only Memories. 7pm. $10.

COMEDY: H. Jon Benjamin @ Bard College’s Olin Hall, Annandale-On-Hudson. The comedian and the voice behind FOX-TV’s “Bob’s Burgers” and FX Network’s “Archer” will help us all feel a little better about our own shortcomings by sharing his own in a hilarious memoir-ish chronicle of failure, “Failure Is an Option: An Attempted Memoir.” 8pm. $32 (includes one copy of the book).

MUSIC: SCCC Jazz Combos @ Schenectady County Community College’s Carl B. Taylor Auditorium, Schenectady. 7:30pm. FREE.
