THEATER: Typhoid Mary @ Barrington Stage Company’ St. Germain Stage, Pittsfield. Matthew Penn directs Mark St. Germain’s searing drama about Mary Mallon (aka Typhoid Mary) and the controversy surrounding her steadfast conviction in her beliefs. The play not only examines the woman behind the myths, but also explores the battle between science and religion. 7:30pm. Through Saturday, June 16.

DANCE ON SCREEN: “Manon” @ Proctors’ GE Theatre, Schenectady. Kenneth MacMillan’s source for the Royal Ballet’s production of “Manon” was the 18th-century French novel already adapted for opera by Massenet and Puccini.
