Led by the powerhouse voice of Phil Alvin, American music pioneers The Blasters are back in the saddle, and they’re riding into the Hangar on the Hudson in Troy at 8pm on Friday, August 24. Advance tickets are available now, priced at $25. Also new on the Hangar’s schedule are the National Reserve, who take the stage at 8pm on Saturday, August 18. Tickets are on sale now priced at $10.

POSTPONED: Skeeter Creek’s Rockin’ on the River concert in Troy’s Riverfront Park – originally scheduled for 5pm today (Wednesday, June 13) – has been postponed to Wednesday, August 15 due to the forecast of today’s inclement weather.

IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: Skidmore Jazz Institute’s concert series keeps Saratoga Springs hopping after Freihofer’s Saratoga Jazz Festival wraps up, with a stellar line-up of concerts, including the Terri Lyne Carrington Quartet and the Dave Liebman Quintet at the Zankel Music Center at Skidmore College.

Caffe Lena is Saratoga Springs has a slam-bang line-up of concerts on tap for the month of August, including Melanie at 6 & 8pm on Thursday, August 2; Sylvia Tyson with Scarlet Rivera at 7pm on Thursday, August 9; the Larry Carlton Quartet at 6:30 & 9:15pm; Eilen Jewell at 8pm on Saturday August 18; Livingston Taylor at 8pm on Friday & Saturday, August 24 & 25; David Bromberg at 7pm on August 26; Dom Flemmons at 7pm on Thursday, August 30 and lots more.

IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: The Palace Theatre in downtown Albany has announced three new concerts – Dwight Yoakam, Ghost and dancer Derek Hough’s “Live! The Tour.” tickets for all three new shows go on sale to the general public at 10am on Friday (June 15).

POSTPONED & CANCELLED: Due to severe throat strain of vocalist Colin Meloy, The Decemberists have been forced to cancel a number of upcoming performances, including their concert at MASS MoCA in North Adams (which was scheduled) for Friday (June 15) and their performance at Mountain Jam in Hunter (slated for Saturday, June 16). Their MASS MoCA concert has been re-scheduled for Thursday, October 4.

IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: Melissa Etheridge rolls into The Egg’s Hart Theatre in celebration of the 25th anniversary of her smash hit album, Yes I Am. Tickets go on sale to the general public on Friday (June 15).

IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: The Wood Brothers are scheduled to step into the spotlight at the Troy Savings Bank Music Hall this fall. Tickets go on sale at 10am on Friday (June 15).

At Levon Helm Studios in Woodstock I’m With Her (the all-star trio featuring Sara Watkins, Sarah Jarosz and Aoife O’Donovan) is scheduled to perform an intimate concert on Saturday, September 15 with the Brother Brothers opening the show. Priced at $45, $65 & $75, tickets are on sale now.

CANCELLED: The annual rite-of-summer FLY 92.3 SummerJam was slated to take place at the Fields of Saratoga Casino Hotel in Saratoga Springs on Sunday (June 17), featuring Liam Payne, Why Don’t We, Lauv, In Real Life, Taylor Grey and more, but the festival has been cancelled.

IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: Caffe Lena @ SPAC is presenting a pair of free concerts at the Saratoga Performing Arts Center’s Wood Stage (formerly the Gazebo) – the Oshima Brothers, Kuinka and Darlingside, as well as Elizabeth Woodbury Kasius & Heard and the Martha Redbone Roots Project.

Hancock Shaker Village in Pittsfield is presenting a couple of top-notch shows this summer. The B-52s’ Pat Irwin leads the Pi Power Trio at 7:30pm on Saturday, July 7 ($20 in advance; $25 at the door), and the Autumn Defense (featuring John Stirratt and Pat Sansone of Wilco) teams up with Johnny Irion and Heather Maloney for a triple bill at 8pm on Saturday, July 21 ($25 in advance; $30 at the door).

CANCELLED: Due to the artist’s scheduling issues, the Warren G concert at the Upstate Concert Hall in Clifton, which was scheduled for Saturday night (June 16) has been cancelled.

IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: MASS MoCA in North Adams has announced two new concerts for its fall season – Tune-Yards with U.S. Girls (tickets go on sale at Friday, June 5) and Bonnie Prince Billy with the Other Years (tickets on sale now).

Aloha! All aboard for the Summer Solstice Hawaiian Cruise, a fundraiser for the Lake George Arts Project’s annual free summer concert series. This two-hour Hawaiian-themed cruise aboard The Adirondac begins boarding at 6:30pm and departs from the dock at 7pm on Wednesday, June 20. Cruise along Lake George with light fare from area restaurants, live music with the Swingin’ Palms, special tropical drinks, raffle prizes, a silent auction and more. Pre-sale tickets are $30 by Monday (June 18) or $35 at boarding time.

IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: The Tenderloins – the comic prankster quartet from truTV’s series, “Impractical Jokers” – are headed into Albany’s Times Union Center this fall with their new stage show, “The Cranjis McBasketball World Comedy Tour.” Tickets go on sale to the general public at 10am on Friday (June 15).

Upstate Concert Hall will play host to Seven Lions’ The Journey II Tour on Thursday, November 8. Tickets went on sale this morning, and the first 150 tickets sold will be $15. Thereafter tickets are $20 in advance; $25 at the door.

IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: Troy River Fest has announced its music schedule, which features Front Business, Michael Eck, M.R. Poulopoulos, Tanager and more. Admission is, of course, free.
