FEST: Sankofa: The Legacy @ Proctors

Founded in 1968, the Hamilton Hill Arts Center in Schenectady is celebrating its 50th anniversary with Sankofa: the Legacy, a one-day, 12-hour festival of Black arts and culture at Proctors on Saturday (July 14). The festival will include music, theater, film and more – a mixture of paid and free events; local and national talent.

Tickets are $25 for all main stage events; $10 for the sci-fi film festival in the GE Theatre; $30 for combo tickets Children are FREE when accompanied by a ticketed adult.

In addition free activities throughout the today will include a poetry slam, art exhibit, fashion show, drum circle, an African marketplace, workshops and more.
