MUSIC: Molly Tuttle @ Caffe Lena, Saratoga Springs. Singer, songwriter, banjo player and mighty, mighty guitarist, she was the first woman to win the International Bluegrass Music Association’s Guitar Player of the Year award (2017). 7pm. $30.

MUSIC: Bear Grass @ the Low Beat, Albany. Katie Hammon plays a solo show in advance of the release of her new album, Left. With Neighborhood of Make Believe and Adam Remnant. 7:30pm.

MUSIC: Gregg August & Friends @ MASS MoCA. The summer residency of Bang on a Can (sometimes dubbed Banglewood) offers daily in-gallery concerts, including today’s recital of original compositions and arrangements by the BoC bassist. 4:30pm. Free with museum admission.

MUSIC: The Magdalens @ Elks Lodge, Albany. The alt-folk band trims down to an acoustic trio. 7pm.

MUSIC: The Nuclears @ Desperate Annie’s, Saratoga Springs. It’s Super Dark Monday in the Spa City. With Murderer’s Row and Kenduskeag. 9:30pm. FREE.

THEATER: West Side Story @ Glimmerglass Opera, Cooperstown. Tony and Maria, Leonard Bernstein’s 20th-century incarnation of Romeo and Juliet, struggle to survive in a world of hate, violence and prejudice. This production gets a hip, urban spin and features the original Jerome Robbins choreography in one of the most innovative, heart-wrenching and relevant musicals of our time. 1:30pm. Through Friday, August 24.

MUSIC: Smart Boyz @ Pauly’s Hotel, Albany.ntonio-based punk. With Aggressive Response. 8:30pm. $7.

FILM: “The Goonies” @ South Pearl Street, Albany. The Bites, Camera, Action outdoor film series takes over the street in front of the Times Union Center with Richard Donner’s 1985 adventure-comedy. Music and games at 6:30pm; film at 7:30pm. FREE.
