UPCOMING: They’re an American band! Grand Funk Railroad takes over Albany’s Empire State Plaza on Wednesday (August 1) for the next installment of the Capital Concert Series. Troy’s own power trio Super 400 opens the show at 5:30pm. Admission is free.
Wow! By the second song Victory (Boyd) had me in awe. Started with Over the Rainbow then her song Extraordinary. She has one of the best voices I’ve heard in a long time. I can’t wait until she returns to the area. Toots had the crowd singing along from the start with nonstop hits. My favorites were Pressure Drop, Country Roads and 54-46 That’s My Number. The crowd was great too.
