Kim Deal, Kelly Deal, Josephine Wiggs, Jim Macpherson… Yes, The Breeders are headed into the Upstate Concert Hall in Clifton Park at 8pm on Sunday, October 28. Tickets go on sale at 10am Friday (August 10), priced at $30 in advance; $32 at the door. Other new shows just announced for UCH include Florida death metal faves Obituary with Exmortus, Balor, Dirt Church and Hate the Adversary at 7pm on Saturday, September 8 ($20 in advance; $25 at the door; on sale now) and indie hip-hop duo Atmosphere with Dem Atlas, The Lioness and DJ Keezy at 8pm on Saturday, October 13 ($25 in advance; $28 at the door; on sale at 10am Friday).

IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: In Pittsfield, the Colonial Theatre has added four new concerts to its fall schedule, including Melvin Seals & JGB, the Glen Campbell Xperience, Christian McBride’s New Jawn and Start Making Sense.

Michael Franti & Spearhead will be making a tour stop at BSP Kingston’s Back Room Theater for the Radio Woodstock Cares Foundation to benefit breast cancer care and research in the Hudson Valley. The fundraising concert takes place on Friday, October 12 with Dustin Thomas & Victoria Canal opening the show at 7pm. Tickets go on sale at 10am on Friday (August 10), priced at $65; VIP $125.

IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: The Egg has announced a mighty diverse new batch of concerts for the fall season, including The Yardbirds, Puddles Pity Party, the Richard Thompson Trio and the Mountain Snow Orchestra.

In case you missed them at the Music Haven last Sunday, second generation zydeco kingpins Dwayne Dopsie & the Zydeco Hellraisers will be taking over The Linda in Albany at 8pm on Thursday, September 27. Tickets are on sale now, priced at $20.

IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: In addition, The Egg will also host the double tribute Elvis & Orbison Show.

Performing Elton John’s album 17-11-1970 in its entirety, tribute band Early Elton (featuring Jeff Kazee, John Conte and Rich Pagano) returns to Levon Helm Studios in Woodstock at 8pm on Friday, September 21 ($25 & $40; on sale at 10am Friday)). The studios also welcome the double bill of Birds of Chicago and The Mammals at 8pm on Saturday, October 6 ($30 & $45; on sale at 11am Friday).

Up in Saratoga Springs, Putnam Place welcomes jam band favorites Kung Fu at 9:30pm on Friday, September 28 ($12 in advance; $15 at the door) and Melvin Seals & JGB at 9:30pm on Friday, October 19 ($20 in advance; $25 at the door).

OPENERS: At Levon Helm Studios in Woodstock, Yard Sale will open up for Low Cut Connie on Friday, August 31, and Akie Bermiss warms up the crowd for the sold-out Lake Street Dive show on Friday, November 16…
