MUSIC: Parlour Game @ The Falcon, Marlboro. Violinist Jennie Scheinman and drummer Alison Miller lead the band – pianist Carmen Staaf and bassist Tony Scherr – as they celebrate the popular roots of jazz, honoring the women that made jazz a social music. 8pm. Donations encouraged.

\THEATER: West Side Story @ Glimmerglass Opera, Cooperstown. Tony and Maria, Leonard Bernstein’s 20th-century incarnation of Romeo and Juliet, struggle to survive in a world of hate, violence and prejudice. This production gets a hip, urban spin and features the original Jerome Robbins choreography in one of the most innovative, heart-wrenching and relevant musicals of our time. 1:30pm.
