Cohoes Music Hall Announces New Concert

John Medeski’s Mad Skillet is slated to make their Greater Nippertown concert debut at the Cohoes Music Hall at 8pm on Wednesday, November 14.

Mad Skillet was born of a late night show during New Orleans’ 2015 Jazz & Heritage Festival when keyboardist John Medeski and guitarist Will Bernard’s yearly quest to play together found a special chemistry with the addition of Sousaphonist Kirk Joseph and drummer Terence Higgins. The eclectic, far-reaching backgrounds of Medeski and Bernard alongside this legendary Big Easy rhythm section generated what Medeski calls, “a vast musical universe with limitless potential.” Mad Skillet’s grooves are deep – New Orleans steeped in jazz, blues, psychedelic rock and R&B – a treat for the body and mind.

Tickets go on sale to the general public at 10am on Friday (August 24), priced at $32 (general admission standing room only dance floor); $27 (reserved parquet); and $27 (reserved balcony).
