MUSIC: Cory Henry & the Funk Apostles @ MASS MoCA, North Adams. As a member of jazz-R&B collective Snarky Puppy, Cory Henry has won three Grammy Awards. His newest endeavor is the flaming hot Funk Apostles — a blend of funk, gospel and jazz that sends limbs flailing. 8pm. $34; students $22.

MUSIC: Tom Rush @ Caffe Lena, Saratoga Springs. He was at the forefront of the big Folk Scare of the ’60s. He was a pioneer helping to usher in the singer-songwriter era of the ’70s. And so much more… With Matt Naoka. 4 & 8pm. $67.

DANCE: Savion Glover @ Lumberyard, Catskill. The Lumberyard celebrates its long-awaited grand opening with Savion Glover, who The New Yorker has hailed as “the greatest tap virtuoso of our time, perhaps of all time,” accompanied by jazz drummer Marcus Gilmore. MUSIC: Wayne “The Train” Hancock @ Hancock Shaker Village, Pittsfield. The reigning king of juke joint swing, Hancock pays tribute to classic country while expertly intertwining honky-tonk, swing, blues, Texas rockabilly and big band to create a relentless rocking medley that makes not moving to the beat impossible. 7:30pm. $25.

MUSIC/ART: Dust Bowl Faeries @ The Church, Mt. Vision. “Faerietale Revival” is a multi-media musical odyssey featuring music by Dust Bowl Faeries with special guests Jon B. Woodin, Cameron Melville, Pete Toigo and Dennis Herbert, as well as aerials by Ryder Cooley, spoken word by JoAnn Stevelos and video installation by Ryder Cooley, JD Urban and Thin Edge Films. 7:30pm. $11 & $14.
