MUSIC: Madeleine Peyroux @ The Egg, Albany. Eight albums and 22 years since her Dreamland debut, she continues to challenge the confines of jazz, venturing into the fertile fields of contemporary music with unfading curiosity. THEATER: The Royale @ Capital Repertory Theatre, Albany. Inspired by the true story of trailblazing boxer Jack Johnson, the drama bristles with the thrilling rapid-fire dialogue and rhythmic punctuation of playwright Marco Ramirez (Netflix’s “Daredevil,” “Orange Is the New Black”).
