Adirondack Film Fest Takes Over Glens Falls This Weekend [Berkshire on Stage]

The third annual Adirondack Film Festival, presented by the Adirondack Theatre Festival, has announced its full slate of films and special guests. This year’s line-up includes more than 100 films shown this weekend (Thursday-Sunday, October 18-21) across six venues in downtown Glens Falls. To open the festival, AFF will feature “Radium Girls,” shot in the Glens Falls and Lake George area. This marks the premiere screening in Greater Nippertown.

The Adirondack Film Festival includes 16 feature films. Highlights are the zombie Christmas musical movie “Anna & the Apocalypse,” screening at AFF before it hits theaters in December; Ethan Hawke’s new love story/biopic about Texas musician Blaze Foley, “Blaze”; and the Audience Choice Award-winner at both Sundance and SXSW, “Science Fair.” Other features include a documentary about Mr. Rogers (“Won’t You Be My Neighbor?”) and another about identical triplets adopted by three separate families (“Three Identical Strangers”).

“Adirondack Film Festival has grown tremendously since its inception just three years ago. The quality of the films is better than ever. The amount of films we’re screening is more than ever. And the festival’s special events are bigger than ever,” said Chad Rabinovitz, the festival’s Producing Artistic Director. “We have more than 100 films and more than 100 filmmakers, actors, writers, directors and artists attending the festival this year.”
