MUSIC: Sonny Landreth @ the Cohoes Music Hall, Cohoes. The Louisiana slide guitar master was in town just two months ago firing up John Hiatt’s band, The Goners, in a tour-de-force performance at The Egg. Now he’s back leading his own band in Cohoes. With Waterloo Clyde. 8pm.

FILM/MUSIC: Silent Film Spectacular @ Albany Public Library, Albany. Raurri Jennings, frontman for Front Business, plays his original score to accompany the 1924 film, “He Who Gets Slapped,” starring Lon Chaney as a bitter clown. 7pm. FREE. GO HERE for more info and the complete series schedule…

MUSIC: The Record Company @ Upstate Concert Hall, Clifton Park. They went from recording in their living room to earning Grammy nominations, selling out headlining dates around the world and sharing bills with Mavis Staples, My Morning Jacket and John Mayer. Now, in support of their new album, All of This Life, the LA trio returns to Greater Nippertown on their biggest tour yet. With Madisen Ward & the Mama Bear. 8pm. $23.

ART/EVENT: Celebration of Robert Cartmell’s Life @ Albany Center Gallery, Albany. Family, friends, fans and supporters are encouraged to share fond memories and celebrate the creative life of one of Albany’s finest visual artists and roller coaster enthusiasts. 5:30pm. FREE.

THEATER: A Bronx Tale @ Proctors, Schenectady. The Broadway musical directed by Robert De Niro and Tony Award winner Jerry Zaks takes you to the stoops of the Bronx in the 1960s- where a young man is caught between the father he loves and the mob boss he’d love to be. 7:30pm. Through Sunday.

FILM: “Serenade for Haiti” @ UAlbany Performing Arts Center, Albany. The feature documentary – in Haitian Creole and French with English subtitles – was filmed over a seven-year period, capturing a rare look at a country scored with poverty and a history of political violence to find a story of transcendence and great humanity as the children and faculty of the Sainte Trinité Music School turn to music to unlock the power of their own lives. 6pm.
