“Gloria” Comes to Albany Civic Theater [Berkshire on Stage]

L to R: Bethany Geiger, JR Richards, Sara Paupini, Brendan O’Dwyer, James Alexander, Vivian Wilson-Hwang

Albany Civic Theater presents the Greater Nippertown premiere of Gloria by Branden Jacobs-Jenkins, directed by Patrick White.

Gloria, the critically acclaimed finalist for the 2016 Pulitzer Prize and New York Times Critic’s Pick, is a funny, trenchant and powerful new play. It follows an ambitious group of editorial assistants at a notorious Manhattan magazine, each of whom hopes for a starry life of letters and a book deal before they turn thirty. But when an ordinary humdrum workday becomes anything but, the stakes for who will get to tell their own story become higher than ever.
