FEST: FoodStock IV @ Rustic Barn Pub on Sunday
The message is simple: Feed the hungry…
According to Feeding America, there are more than 78,000 people who are food insecure in Albany, Rensselaer and Saratoga Counties… 24,000 of whom are babies and children.
The Rustic Barn Pub in Troy is hosting the fourth annual FoodStock festival on Sunday (November 4), a day-long benefit concert for the Food Pantries of the Capital District, a coalition of more than 60 food pantries in Albany, Rensselaer, Saratoga and Schenectady Counties that provides funding, delivery, coordination, education and training. Just $1 can help provide 6.25 pounds of food. Every gift has immediate impact and remains local.
Hosted by Bob Gamache and emceed by Johnny Goodman, the FoodStock fundraiser for the food pantries of the Capital District features seven Local 518 bands kicking off at 2pm. And the suggested donation at the door is just $10, although more is always welcome.
Here’s the schedule of bands for FoodStock IV:
2pm: The Barn Boys
2:40pm: TyEs Reunion
3:20pm: Off the Record
4pm: Diva & the Dirty Boys
5pm: Soul Sky
6pm: The Back 40 Band
