Palace Theatre Announces Two New Concerts

Here they come
walkin’ down the street
They get the funniest looks
From everyone they meet…

That’s right, cats and kittens. Hold onto your wool hat ’cause The Monkees are headed to town!

Well, half of The Monkees, anyway. Michael Nesmith and Micky Dolenz of The Monkees will hit the road once again in 2019, with a string of concerts that will feature songs spanning the group’s entire career. The shows will highlight many of Nesmith’s compositions, including some that have never been performed live prior to this tour. The tour is slated to touch down at Albany’s Palace Theatre at 8pm on Sunday, March 10.

These new tour dates are the latest chapter in Monkeemania, a saga that began in 1965 when four young men were cast in a television show about a struggling rock band that was inspired by The Beatles’ “A Hard Day’s Night.” Back then, few could have predicted the lasting impact The Monkees would have on music and pop culture at large, one that still reverberates more than 50 years later.

Tickets for the Monkees concert at the Palace Theatre will go on sale at 10am Friday (November 16), priced at $34.50, $44.50, $59.50, $69.50 & $89.50.

ALSO: Joe Russo’s Almost Dead steps onto the Palace stage at 8pm on Friday, March 1. Tickets for the Grateful Dead tribute band – featuring Scott Metzger, Tommy Hamilton, Dave Dreiwitz, Marco Benevento and Joe Russo – will go on sale to the general public at 12noon on Friday (November 16), priced at $45 in advance; $50 at the door…
