THEATER: Miss Bennet: Christmas at Pemberley @ Capital Repertory Theatre, Albany. It’s opening night! Director Maggie Mancinelli-Cahill invites you to spend the holiday season with your favorite “Pride and Prejudice” characters, as they gather at Pemberley, the stately home of Mr. and Mrs. Darcy. 7:30pm. $22-$65. ARTIST TALK: Daesha Devon Harris @ Opalka Gallery, Albany. Using photography, video and experimental print techniques, Devón Harris’s work explores individual and collective stories and history. 6:30pm. FREE.
THEATER: “Shorts & Sweets” @ Sand Lake Center for the Arts, Averill Park. The Matinee Theater Players bring you a program of one-act plays and monologues, such as “Plane Talk,” “Squeaky Door,” “Ride On,” “Storyville” and more all written by local playwrights. 1pm. $10.

OPEN MIC/STORYTELLING: Storytelling Open Mic @ Caffe Lena, Saratoga Springs. Storytellers of all styles and levels of experience are welcome. Enjoy an evening of true stories, traditional tales, myths, fables, family stories and more. Featured storyteller Siri Allison performs for 30 minutes and open mic tellers have 10 minutes each. TALK: Jill Casid @ Clark Art Institute, Williamstown. The Clark/Oakley Humanities Fellow at the Clark Art Institute presents the free lecture “Necrolandscaping on the Border” based on work in progress for her current book project, “Necrolandscaping,” which draws on current artistic experimentation that confronts and works through the damage of the landscape form. 5:30pm. FREE.
THEATER ON SCREEN: Winter’s Tale @ Proctors’ GE Theatre, Schenectady. The Shakespeare Globe Theatre’s production of the Shakespeare play of the irrational and inexplicable, illustrates how uncontrollable emotions can range across gender, country, class and age. Directed by Blanche McIntyre and starring Will Keen (“The Crown”) with Priyanga Burford and Annette Badland. 2 & 6:30pm. $12.
