Fruit of the Spirit Fundraiser Features Blues and Gospel

TJ’s Flightline Pub in Glenville will host the annual holiday fundraiser for the locally based Fruit of the Spirit at 8pm on Saturday (December 1). The event will feature the blues of JV & The Cutters and the gospel sounds of the Heavenly Echoes.

Led by Tanneal Green, the non-profit organization is celebrating its 12th year bringing emergency advocacy, resources, new and used clothing and staples to working families in need.

“We started with ten families, and today we have 104,” she said. “I am rounding up some items for a grandmother who just received emergency custody of her grandchildren, ages four and one.”

“There is still time, and the best way to help is by adopting a family or a child,” she offered. “Every bit helps.”
