Global pop star and three-time Grammy Award winner Angélique Kidjo will perform her re-imagining of Talking Heads’ classic 1980 album, Remain in Light, at the Ulster Performing Arts Center in Kingston at 7:30pm on Thursday, April 11.
In 2017, Kidjo premiered this musical project at Bonnaroo and New York City’s Carnegie Hall (where David Byrne came out of the audience to sing with her). The performances were met with raves, and the Benin-born singer will continue to tour the album concert into 2019. Tickets for her UPAC concert are priced from $44-$66.
And jazz-pop trumpeter Chris Botti and his band will make their UPAC debut at 8pm on Friday, March 29. Tickets are priced from $60-$95.
Tickets for both newly announced UPAC concerts will be available exclusively to members beginning at 11am on Wednesday (December 5), and will go on sale to the general public at 11am Thursday (December 6).
