MUSIC/FUNDRAISER: WGNA’s Jingle Jam @ Troy Savings Bank Music Hall, Troy. A special intimate acoustic concert headlined by Rodney Atkins, If you are a contemporary country music fan, you know his hits, including “Watching You,” “Take a Back Road,” “If You’re Going Through Hell” and so many more. With Craig Campbell and Greater Nippertown’s own Vinnie Michaels Band. A portion of proceeds will benefit WGNA’s Shop With a Cop charity. 7pm. $26, $32 & $38.

MUSIC: The Dave Matthews Band @ the Times Union Center, Albany. Yes, Dave & Co. are back again… 8pm. $85 & $115.

MUSIC: Meernaa @ Colony, Woodstock. When you listen to her songs, you have the feeling of walking alone in the woods, sometimes spooked and sometimes elated. Led by guitarist-vocalist Carly Bond, the band also features Rob Shelton (keys), Andrew Maguire (drums) and Doug Stuart (bass). In support of their debut EP, Strange Life. With bell’s roar and Otto Hauser. 8pm. $10.

DANCE: The Moscow Ballet’s Great Russian Nutcracker @ the Palace Theatre, Albany. World class dancers; Russian folk legends Father Christmas and Snow Maiden, backdrops hand-painted by Russian masters; and a Dove of Peace with a 20-foot wingspan – the Great Russian Nutcracker brings the Christmas spirit to life for all ages. 8pm.

MUSIC: Mike Kelley @ Lanie’s Cafe, Loudonville. 6pm. FREE.

THEATER: Dr. Seuss’ How The Grinch Stole Christmas! The Musical @ Proctors, Schenectady. The record-setting Broadway holiday sensation features the hit songs “You’re a Mean One Mr. Grinch” and “Welcome Christmas” from the original animated special and other songs. Max the Dog narrates, as the mean and scheming Grinch, whose heart is “two sizes too small,” decides to steal Christmas away from the holiday-loving Whos. 7pm. Through Sunday.

MUSIC: The Floozies @ Jupiter Hall, Guilderland. Brothers Matt and Mark Hill bring a fresh approach to electronic music with the Crown of Horns Tour featuring Atlanta’s Terminus Horns. With SoDown. 6pm. $20.

THEATER: Miss Bennet: Christmas at Pemberley @ Capital Repertory Theatre, Albany. Director Maggie Mancinelli-Cahill invites you to spend the holiday season with your favorite “Pride and Prejudice” characters, as they gather at Pemberley, the stately home of Mr. and Mrs. Darcy. 2 & 7:30pm. $22-$65. MUSIC: The Chinese Music Ensemble @ Williams College’s Brooks-Rogers Recital Hall, Williamstown. The concert, titled “Little Sisters of the Grassland,” features soloist Angela Chan, who plays the pipa. 7pm. FREE.
