MUSIC: Tony Trischka @ Cock ‘n Bull, Galway. One of the most influential banjo players on the planet today will be joined by multi-instrumentalist and shape-note singer Tim Eriksen, bassist Larry Cook, vocalist extraordinaire Phoebe Hunt and mandolinist Dominic Leslie for “Of a Winter’s Night,” his annual holiday tour. Dinner begins at 5:30pm; showtime 8pm. $80 includes all food and the performance.
MUSIC: Josh White Jr. @ Caffe Lena, Saratoga Springs. The folksinger, activist and Tony Award-winning actor brings a message of peace and harmony with his holiday show. 7pm. $26.
MUSIC/FUNDRAISER: Sally & James Taylor @ MASS MoCA’s Hunter Center, North Adams.
