PARTICIPATORY MUSIC: Unsilent Night @ Warren Street, Hudson. Composer Phil Kline leads his “mobile sound sculpture” featuring an expansive chorus of boomboxes. Bring a boombox or smartphone with external speakers and gather at WGXC’s Hudson Studio (369 Warren Street) inside the First Presbyterian Church to join the parade through Hudson’s lesser traveled alleys and enclaves, and come away with a new experience of the city’s historic streetscape. 6:30pm. MUSIC: Guthrie Bell Christmas Party @ the Hollow Bar + Kitchen, Albany. Featuring Glass Pony, The LateShift and School Bus Yellow. 8:30pm.

MUSIC: Frank Vignola Hot Jazz Guitar Trio @ Caffe Lena, Saratoga Springs. Jaw-dropping. No exageration. It’s not just their incendiary playing, it’s the way they laugh while they do it. It’s the way they wink at the audience and break out a little soft shoe shuffle while they play the sweetest, hottest jazz you’ll ever hear. Phenomenal entertainers; superb human beings. 8pm.

MUSIC: Ollabelle @ Levon Helm Studios, Woodstock. Vocalists Fiona McBain and Amy Helm lead the reunion of the band taking early American gospel, folk and mountain music and dragging it into the future with the utmost respect and the utmost abandon. 8pm. $45 & $75.

MUSIC: Scott Sharrard & Friends @ Bearsville Theater, Woodstock. Gregg Allman Band’s former guitarist/musical director leads the third annual Festivus Jam. 8pm. $30.

MUSIC: The Bluebillies Old-Time Christmas Revue @ the Strand Theatre, Hudson Falls. The Bluebillies perform some of your favorite holiday classics, as well as some lesser known but fun and eclectic Christmas tunes, in their unique old-timey American style. With the Atkinson Family Bluegrass Band, Brain Medicine’s Clinton Hoffman, Elvis tribute artist Kevin Harder and Sax-O-Claus. 7pm. $12; $10 seniors; $5 students.
