FILM/DISCUSSION: “More Than Words: The Photography of Newsman Bob Paley” @ Proctors’ GE Theatre, Schenectady. Photojournalist Bob Paley served Albany’s Knickerbocker News for nearly 30 years and contributed to the legendarily selective Time-Life publications. He had the uncanny ability – with a single photo – to capture the mood, the moment and the meaning of the forces that rocked mid-20th century America, whether they be Woodstock, Vietnam, the Kennedys or the American struggle for civil rights. Following the screening Richard Lovrich will moderate a panel discussion on photojournalism and non-fiction filmmaking, featuring co-writer Patrick J. Bulgaro, photojournalists Michael P. Farrell and Cindy Hasbrouck Schultz, co-director Jon Russell Cring, director of photography Tracy Nicole Cring and co-director Mary Paley, Bob Paley’s daughter. 7pm. $9; students/seniors $6.
