MUSIC: Caitlin Canty @ Caffe Lena, Saratoga Springs. With a voice that The San Francisco Chronicle has described as “casually devastating,” the singer-songwriter carves a line through folk, blues and country ballads. MUSIC: The Zelos Saxophone Quartet @ Bridge Street Theatre, Catskill. Winner of the 2018 Frances Walton Competition, this youthful San Jose ensemble is dedicated to performing a wide array of repertoire ranging from underrepresented contemporary works to transcriptions from the baroque, classical and romantic eras. 2pm. $15.
FESTIVAL/MUSIC: Ukulele Festival @ the Williams Inn, Williamstown. The eighth annual fest features Amy Kucharik, as well as the Ladies Auxiliary Ukulele Orchestra, Ferrilyn Sourdiffe, Jane Davies, Bart Saxbe, Morgan Whaley and Ben Morton. Workshops at 10am; music at 1pm. Donations encouraged.
MUSIC: Albany Symphony @ Troy Savings Bank Music Hall, Troy. Beethoven’s Seventh. What more do you need to know? How about violinist Tessa Lark playing the world premiere of Michael Torke’s Violin Concerto? 3pm.
EVENT: Enjoy Troy Day Celebration @ McAddy’s Pub, Troy. Featuring a brief ceremony, complimentary finger foods, a live performance by Honey Slider, drink specials and an assortment of “enjoy troy” merchandise for sale. 2-4pm.
