The Eddies Honor the Best of the Greater Nippertown Music Scene

The inaugural Capital Region Thomas Edison Music Awards will be held at Proctors in Schenectady at 6pm on Sunday, April 14 honoring the best talent on the Greater Niippertown music scene.

Produced by Capital Records Live!, Proctors Collaborative and The Collaborative, the Eddies show will hand out awards in nearly 30 categories honoring soloists, bands, teachers, engineers, DJs, photographers and others. Winners will be determined by the voting of more than 60 Local 518 music luminaries – including club owners, sound technicians, educators, journalists and performers.

The ceremony will also include two inductions into the Eddies New York Music Hall of Fame; an Artist Lifetime Achievement Award and an Arts Educator Award for Impact on the Community. Additionally, People’s Choice Awards will be handed out for Artist of the Year and Local Concert of the Year.

Tickets for The Capital Region Thomas Edison Music Awards will go on sale to the general public at 10am on Thursday (January 17), priced at $20 in advance; $25 at the door.
