Diavolo Flies into Proctors [Berkshire on Stage]

Seen by over 95 million people as one of the top 10 finalists on NBC-TV’s “America’s Got Talent,” Diavolo shatters boundaries and soars beyond the grasp of gravity. The Los Angeles-based dance company continues to push a new edge of performance with the inventive and ingenious Jacques Heim at the helm. The group will appear at Proctors in Schenectady at 7:30pm on Wednesday (January 30).

The program includes Diavolo’s signature crowd favorite “Trajectoire” and their latest work, “Voyage,” a story of a woman’s journey to the moon and back. Both works feature meticulously designed architectural structures that have become Diavolo’s hallmark, and their performances have been receiving standing ovations night after night.

A fusion of dance, acrobatics and gymnastics, Diavolo explores the relationship between the human body and its architectural environment. Broadway World called “Trajectoire” “full of incredible feats of daring and acrobatics … the dance equivalent of going down a roller coaster… a pure shot of adrenaline.”
