New Concert Announced for the Bardavon
In Poughkeepsie, The Bardavon presents “Turn, Turn, Turn,” a special concert tribute in honor of the centennial of the birth of Pete Seeger. The Vanaver Caravan will be joined by an array of special guests – including Happy Traum, Maria Muldaur, Tom Chapin and more TBA – for the show at 7pm on Sunday, May 5.
Featuring a variety of dance styles from clogging to swing to Zulu gumboot dancing, and utilizing historical photos and recordings to take viewers on a journey through American history, the show will feature more than 20 songs from Seeger’s vast repertoire, including “We Shall Overcome,” “Big Muddy,” “Wimoweh,” “Where Have All the Flowers Gone” and, of course, “Turn, Turn, Turn.”
Priced from $30-$40, tickets are on sale now.
