WEDNESDAY: A Bowie Celebration: The David Bowie Alumni Tour @ the Palace Theatre, Albany. Featuring alumni Bowie band members Mike Garson, Earl Slick, Charlie Sexton and Carmine Rojas along with world-class vocalists such as Bernard Fowler and Corey Glover, among others and drummer Lee John performing a mix of Bowie’s hits and deep-cuts. 8pm. $29.50, $39.50, $49.50, $59.50 & $69.50.
THURSDAY: Peter Case @ The Linda, Albany. Te three time Grammy nominee and sublime singer-songwriter spans genres from power pop (The Nerves, The Plimsouls) to folk and blues (2010’s Wig and 2007’s Let Us Now Praise Sleepy John). 8pm. $15 in advance; $20 at the door.
FRIDAY: The Prohibition Project @ Collar Works, Troy. It’s opening night for the always inventive Troy Theatre Foundry, who deliver another of their unique site-specific immersive theater events. Directed by Brenna Geffers. 8pm. $18; seniors $15; students $10. Through Sunday, March 17.
SATURDAY: Dustin Mele Memorial Concert @ Brown’s Revolution Hall, Troy. A fundraising concert for the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, the National Alliance on Mental Illness and Rensselaer County mental health and emergency assistance programs. Featuring Emerald City, Soul Sky and Super 400, as well as a one-time-only reunion of the legendary Bob Etoll Group. 6pm. $20 minimum donation.
SUNDAY: The Mavericks @ The Bardavon, Poughkeepsie. The Grammy & CMA Award-winning genre-defying band comes to the Bardavon for the first time, led by the magnificent Cuban-American lead singer Raul Malo. 8pm. $45, $59 & $79.
