Hubbard Hall Opens Doug Wright’s “I Am My Own Wife” [Berkshire on Stage]

Hubbard Hall Center for the Arts and Education and Executive & Artistic Director David Snider are proud to announce the opening at 7:30pm on Friday (March 8) of I Am My Own Wife at Hubbard Hall in Cambridge, running Fridays-Saturdays at 7:30pm and Saturdays-Sundays at 2pm from March 8-17. A Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award Winning modern classic based on a true story, I Am My Own Wife portrays the fascinating life of Charlotte von Mahlsdorf, born Lothar Berfeide, who remarkably survived both Nazi Germany and Soviet controlled Berlin as a transgender woman. This tour-de-force has actor Rylan Morsbach perform over 30 characters as we follow the many threads that make up Charlotte’s life.
