Lake George Music Festival Kicks Off August 12th

The Lake George Music Festival announced its opening night on August 12th at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Lake George, New York. Featuring the ensemble in residence, Byrne: Kozar: Duo, the concert starts at 7 pm.

The Lake George Music Festival boasts two weeks of traditional and experimental concerts, open rehearsals, public receptions, and informational talks at venues throughout Lake George. Inviting musicians from prestigious institutions, including the Czech Philharmonic Orchestra, the Philadelphia Orchestra, and The Met Opera Orchestra, the festival offers a diverse set of options for audiences to experience music.

Highlights of this year’s schedule include “Sounds of Our Time,” featuring Sarah Kirkland Snider‘s “Penelope” on Friday, August 16th at The Park Threatre in Glens Falls, “Piano Mania,” at the Tannery Pond Center in North Creek on Sunday, August 18th, and the Lake George Music Festival Orchestra on Friday, August 23rd at Lake George High School.
