Poet and Healer Suzanne Rancourt at Caffe Lena September 4th
On Wednesday, September 4, Caffè Lena will present a poetry reading by Suzanne Rancourt. Rancourt is a multimodal expressive arts therapist with degrees in creative writing, psychology and substance abuse whose primary interest is in helping people to heal from traumatic events through art.
Rancourt was born and raised in Maine. She’s an elder in the Abenaki Bear Clan, and also a veteran of the United States Marine Corps and the United States Army.

Currently living in Hadley, New York, Rancourt encourages participatory art as therapy.
An open reading will follow her reading, inviting community members to share their work. Doors open for sign-ups at 7pm and the readings will start at 7:30. The host for the event will be Carol Graser; cost is $5 general, free for students.
