Wassailing Tradition at Indian Ladder Farms Dec 20th
Indian Ladder Farms Cidery and Brewery is celebrating a holiday tradition that promises the orchard a healthy harvest the following fall. The farm staff will be taking groups out into the Orchard to Wassail starting at 5:00 on December 20th, and will be coming back every hour to bring people back to the Tasting Room or back out into the Orchard.
The last group of people will be brought out to the Orchard at 8:00PM and brought back to the Tasting Room at 8:45PM. You can choose your time for hayride and orchard tour.
Once in the Orchard you will find a tasting station where you will be able to get a Hot Mulled Cider that will be available with or without Maple Jack Liquor added.
The orchard-visiting wassail refers to the ancient custom of visiting orchards in cider-producing regions of England, reciting incantations and singing to the trees to promote a good harvest for the coming year. So make sure that you have your favorite song ready to sing into the trees.
Help a local farm ensure that we have a good harvest by coming out and Wassailing the orchard with us!
