Salem Art Works Announced Teen Arts Summer Program 2020

Salem Art Works is pleased to announce its new “Salem Teen Arts” program for summer 2020. Applications are now being accepted for the summer sessions for ages 13-18 on

SAW has a new computer lab that will offer classes in film, animation, and digital photo editing thanks to the generosity of Cambridge Central School and Skidmore College. Other topics for the summer teen sessions include drawing, painting, glass blowing, blacksmithing, welding, and jewelry making. There is a brochure and application on the website that can be downloaded for more details.

“With feedback from students and parents, we have designed a new program in (3) one-week sessions to choose from. Each day, morning and afternoon classes will be offered. Students can choose to attend all day or a half-day for 1, 2, or 3 weeks. This new schedule will work around busy families and summer vacations,” said the Youth Program Coordinator, Sarah Harrington.

“A convenient feature we added this year is a payment plan available to students that register before March 31, 2020. This makes it much more affordable for families. There are more details about that on our website. Our prices are very competitive with other summer programs. We’re very excited about it. It is a great opportunity for our area youth to explore advanced studies in the arts.”
