Browne, who has sold over eighteen million albums was born in Germany in 1948 where his father, an American serviceman was stationed. At age three, Browne and his family moved to Los Angeles. In his teens, he began singing folk songs in local venues such as The Troubadour Club and The Ash Grove.
After graduating from high school, Browne did a short stint with The Nitty Gritty Dirt Band before moving to Greenwich Village in New York City. Before his eighteenth birthday he became a staff songwriter for Elektra Records in New York. In 1971, he signed with Asylum Records and released his first album, Jackson Browne, which gained considerable airplay and included the songs Doctor My Eyes and Rock Me On The Water. His performing and recording career took off form there, with critically acclaimed albums For Everyman, Late For The Sky and The Pretender to follow. His biggest commercial success was the 1977 release Running On Empty, which unlike any album before it, was recorded live in hotel rooms, on tour buses, backstage and in concert. The album releases continued with great success as Hold Out, Lawyers In Love, Lives In The Balance and many more followed. Browne was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 2004.
The concert is a celebration of Browne’s songbook and will feature over two dozen tunes including Running On Empty, The Load Out / Stay, The Pretender, Rock Me On The Water, Doctor My Eyes and many more.
