Sugar on Snow at Riverside Maple Farms Weekends January through March
Riverside Maple Farms in Glenville, New York, is pleased to bring back Sugar on Snow to the Capital Region every Saturday and Sunday in January, February, and March from 12-3 pm.
Made famous in Little House on the Prairie, Sugar on Snow is a New England tradition. At Riverside Maple Farms, hot maple syrup is poured onto shaved ice, creating a delicious taffy treat. This event is free and open to all.
Make it a day out with the family at Riverside. Take a free tour and learn how maple syrup is made from tree to table. Try all four grades of maple syrup and find the grade that compliments your taste best! Hike the Maple-Beet Trail, a quarter mile walking and cross country snowshoeing trail linking Wolf Hollow Brewing Company to Riverside Maple Farms, open on Saturdays and Sundays from 12-6 pm. Grab a bowl of hot mac and cheese from area food truck favorite, The Mac Factor. On January 12 and 19, from 12-3 pm, Casey’s Homemade Baked Goods will be selling baked treats featuring syrup from Riverside Maple Farms.
