Stories From a Bar: Episode 25, Green Wolf Brewing Co.
How does a brewery get its name?
Well in the case of Green Wolf Brewing Company in Middleburgh, from dreams. Back in the autumn of 2011 Green Wolf owner Justin Behan was putting any interesting words he could think of in front of “Brewing Company” while trying to settle on a name for his soon to be brewery. “Nothing was quite working out until my partner, Tracy, had a dream – two of them, actually. The same dream two nights in a row.”

Tracy dreamed of a green wolf traveling through the woods behind the couple’s house. For her, it seemed to be a type of spirit creature and after having the dream two nights in a row she told Justin and the Green Wolf name was born. It has been a busy few years for Justin since and I was fortunate enough to sit down with both him and Tap Room Manager of the Green Wolf Public House Caleb Wiseman to talk all about it.
