Taina Asili at the Lift Up Series @ Troy Music Hall 2/19/2020
Progressive songstress Taina Asili performed at Troy Music Hall as part of the Lift Series. Troy Music Hall’s Wednesday night music series where the audience and the performers are seated on stage for a more intimate concert experience.
Instead of her “Bande Rebelde” which frequently is complete with multiple percussion instruments and horns, she appeared with a trio of musicians, the stripped-down band and a smaller audience gave Taina the ability to communicate with her audience in a more personal way. The emotion and power came from the music itself not the volume of the band.
