I’ve always wanted to go to Washington D.C. to see the cherry blossoms in April. One year I went, and the blossoms were late. Another year, I was there at the perfect time of month, only to be passing through in the darkness of night.

If you are like me, and are craving a little cherry blossom visit, there’s a place closer to home where you can indulge in the luxurious sights and smells of cherry blossoms: Temple Gates of Heaven in Niskayuna.

The temple has surrounded itself with mature cherry trees, and the blossoms are simply stunning this spring. Drive north up Eastern Parkway and the blossoms will be on your right.
