His TED talk tells the tale of an email SPAM adventure, with twists and turns that eventually demonstrates how to have your email deleted off your spammer’s mailing list. Let’s hope he eventually got himself that toaster!

Hats Off To Lyle Lovett

Texas Ballet Theater got creative while in quarantine and brought Mr. Lovett’s song, “Don’t Touch My Hat,” to life. He was kind enough to lend his support to his home state ballet company. We can’t wait till we get to see him in person, on our stage, once again!

Senator Schumer has co-sponsored a bill that provides economic relief to the countless music venues and theaters that have been adversely affected by this pandemic, which includes the Hall. Troy’s Summer Square

Troy’s Summer Square was created by the city to serve as a safe convening, dining, and entertainment space for the public. They’ve closed streets to create an open air plaza on Broadway between 2nd Street and River Street and will accommodate outdoor dining and activities on Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights.

Terrell T – Rex Simon with the R&G band and The Black Diamond Dancers – Saturday, August 29, 6 PM – 8 PM, Monument Square

Enjoy the soulful R&B sounds of Terrell T-Rex Simon, along with his band R&G. Joining them are the local group the Black Diamond Dancers, made up of children ages 7-17 from North Central Troy. These events are free and open to the public, no tickets required. Performances are weather dependent and will be rescheduled if necessary.

For 15 years, Lobster Boat Captain John Makowsky had a faithful companion, a gull he named Red Eye. She alighted on his boat in 2005 and never left. A few months ago, Captain Makowsky noticed she had a leg injury. Watch and see how he got her help. We promise this will be a happy ending.
