The Art Of Paper

Artfully Unexpected!

Japanese designer Haruki Nakamura creates playfully interactive paper toys that move in unexpected ways when touched. Nakamura was Inspired by kirigami, which is similar to origami except that it requires cuts in addition to folds. Read more about it here on My Modern Met.

Introducing Yola

British singer songwriter Yola released her debut album in 2016, but it was her 2019 release of Walk Through Fire that brought her national attention and three Grammy nominations. Listen to this Tiny Desk At Home concert and hear why she is so loved! We think she should go on the Hall’s lists of future performers.

We Might Have Just A Touch Of Envy

If you cook, don’t watch this video.

This video showcases the cooking spaces of celebrities like Zedd, Nate Berkus, and Chelsea Handler. The kitchens in this video are gorgeous, and most are rarely used. If you are over 21 years of age, enjoy cooking, and don’t have kitchens that look like the ones these celebrities have, ease your pain with a drinking game. While watching this video, take a shot anytime you spot an abundance of lemons in giant bowls on pristine counter tops.

Fall Is Almost Here, But Jon Snow Reminds You “Winter Is Coming”

Game of Thrones – we watched it, we love it! (The last season could have been better, but we give them credit for wrapping up the story lines.) It is the perfect bingeable series. If you’ve already watched it, go ahead and watch again!

Enjoy these videos (spoiler alert!) from Late Night with Seth Meyers. He invites Jon Snow to a dinner party, and invites Melisandre to his baby shower.

Music You’ll Love

Can You Spare 5 Minutes?

The New York Times asked violin greats Hilary Hahn, John Adams, André Rieu and others to pick the music that moves them. This is a big claim, but they are insisting if you listen to their picks, you are going to fall in love with the violin. Click here and prepare to feel the love!

Did you know that an octopus has one large brain and eight mini brains? That may help explain how these almost alien like creature are very clever and love to play and problem solve. They are masters of disguises! At 5:05 minutes into this video, you will see an amazing example of that!
