Top Tips for Live Music (for the week beginning September 14th)

Best bet:  For the first time, we’re going virtual for the Best Bet this week.  But it’s worth it.  In better times we’d all be downtown for Pearlpalooza this Saturday, enjoying one of the year’s best street parties.  Covid makes that impossible this year, but WEQX, The Hollow, Downtown Albany, and several others have managed to put on a virtual edition anyway.  Featuring Eastbound Jesus, Wild Adriatic, Victory Soul Orchestra, and MIRK, it’s still the week’s can’t miss event.  Watch from the comfort of your home.  Or better yet, head downtown and support (safely) one of the venues livestreaming this event in person.  But please…do find a way to support.  The entertainment industry is getting absolutely rocked by this pandemic, and the casualties are starting to mount.  Save Our Stages…I wouldn’t count on anybody else to do it.
